On April 5, 2007, Memphis Stone and Gravel Company (MSG) hosted Ms. Tamela Patton and her CLUE class from Campus School in Memphis. About 30 students and 8 adults attended the plant tour at MSG's North Plant in Arlington, TN. It was a little chilly, but sunny! The tour started with a lesson in the "Mining Cycle" then Participants got to see stripping, mining, processing and reclamation in process. The field trip ended with ample time to collect rocks, minerals, and fossils in the gravel stockpiles.
