On November 6, 2008, Memphis Stone and Gravel Company (MSG) hosted Ms. Susan Clark and the third grade classes from Campus School in Memphis. About 58 students and 20 adults attended the plant tour at MSG's Anderson Plant in Desoto County, MS. It was a little chilly, but sunny! The tour started with a lesson in the "Mining Cycle" then Participants got to see stripping, mining, processing and reclamation in process. The field trip ended with ample time to collect rocks, minerals, and fossils in the gravel stockpiles.
