On January 19, 2026, Memphis Stone & Gravel, A Granite Company, together with its sister company, Lehman-Roberts, launched the 11th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Service. This community-driven initiative will involve more than 275 participating volunteers and 15 non-profit partnerships. The focus of these efforts will be to make a positive impact throughout Memphis and the neighboring areas of north Mississippi with community service projects hosted through February 2026.
A tradition adopted by the companies in 2015, this event is seen as the culmination of their mission statement – “Helping communities where we live and work to thrive.” In short, each organization that is impacted through the event specializes in fortifying resources and services for the community, namely in the areas of education, childhood development, and community development.
“We’re proud to serve our communities and take seriously our responsibility to give back, using our resources and opportunities to help create a stronger future for everyone,” shared Vice President Alan Parks.
“As we honor the legacy of Dr. King through this event, it’s inspiring to see how our teams continue to partner with nonprofits to create meaningful change and a lasting difference,” added Taylor McPherson, Director of Communications and Engagement.
2026 partnerships include Advance Memphis, Alcy Ball Development Corporation, Alpha Omega Veterans Services, Balmoral Ridgeway Elementary, Baptist Children’s Village, Boys and Girls Club of Grenada, DeSoto Dream Center, Grenada Soup Kitchen, Impact Ministries, Knowledge Quest, Mid-South Food Bank, Mississippi Wildlife Rehab, Palmer Home for Children, The Grace Place, and more.
